Dreams are a succession of images, ideas, emotions and sensations occurring involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep. The content and purpose of dreams are not fully understood, though they have been a topic of speculation and interest throughout recorded history.

Dreams have also been described physiologically as a response to neural processes during sleep; psychologically as reflections of the subconscious; and spiritually as messages from gods, the deceased, predictions of the future, or from the Soul. Many cultures practice dream incubation with the intention of cultivating dreams that are prophetic or contain messages from the divine.

subconscious:
is a repository for socially unacceptable ideas, wishes or desires, traumatic memories, and painful emotions put out of mind by the mechanism of psychological repression.

Emotions:
The most common emotion experienced in dreams is anxiety. Other emotions include pain, abandonment, fear, joy, happiness, etc. Negative emotions are much more common than positive ones.

The “dream world” and the “real world”:
During the night there may be many external stimuli bombarding the senses, but the brain often interprets the stimulus and makes it a part of a dream in order to ensure continued sleep. Dream incorporation is a phenomenon whereby an actual sensation, such as environmental sounds, are incorporated into dreams, such as hearing a phone ringing in a dream while it is ringing in reality or a alarm clock and a baby crying. the term “dream incorporation” is also used in research examining the degree to which  daytime events become elements of dreams.

Recalling dreams:
The recall of dreams is extremely unreliable, though it is a skill that can be trained. Dreams can usually be recalled if a person is awakened while dreaming. Women tend to have more frequent dream recall than men.At least 95% of all dreams are not remembered.

Déjà vu:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       One theory of déjà vu attributes the feeling of having previously seen or experienced something to in a similar situation or place, and forgetting about it until one seems to be mysteriously reminded of the situation or the place.

Thats right , after getting alot feedback we are changing the story. But dont fret it is still going to be based on Kyle Kumar and his troubles with bullies on a bad day of college.

We are revising the whole storyline and script and we will hopefully have it online within the next two weeks.

Core Concept

The core concept of our project is to do a movie combined with a stop motion. It is based on a kid called Kyle Kumar who has recently moved house and school. He is lonely, has no friends and is getting bullied in detention. Kumar tries to get work done in detention but keeps getting distracted by the bullies so he decides to stop working and takes out a comic book and starts to read that. When Kumar stops responding to the Bullies they get bored and leave him alone. Once the bullies have left Kumar alone he falls asleep reading his comic.

Kumar awakes to find himself in a dream world in the future, he is much older and is in college.  He wakes up in a class room and recognizes some familiar faces, which turns out to be older versions of the bullies. When Kumar reaches for the mouse it moves without him touching it and he slowly discovers he has superpowers. Then for the rest of his dream Kumar takes out a comical type revenge on his bullies. When Kumar’s Dream Ends he awakes to find that he has been left behind in detention and it is night time. He is sad because the dream wasn’t real and walks out of the class. Then the credits will start.

Why we are doing this:

Matthew: I have always been interested in stop motion videos and think it will be fun.

Vinnie: I think it’s a good idea and won’t get boring to work on.

David: I think it will be easy to stick at because find it interesting.

Theme

The 2 main themes will be loneliness and revenge.

Kyle has recently moved house and school so he is the new kid on the block. He has no friends and he has been bullied all of his life. He is your typical geek, he wears glasses and always has his work done. His interests are Reading comic books, playing games and likes to watch Sci-Fi movies. He has no friends so he entertains himself in school by either reading a comic or by using his overactive imagination. Kyle feels lonely and has always wanted to take revenge on bullies but never had the confidence to do so.

The Bullies

The bullies are a lot alike. They are all your average bullies who either messes with the geeks or torments them by calling them names or laughing at them. They never think of the consequences and someday it will come back on them. No matter what age they are they always act the same.
